High Speed Rail Funds “out the door”

“When the dust settles, this nation will have a world-class passenger rail system supporting a world-class economy,” concludes US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood on his Fast Lane blog today, touting the dispersal of the first actual high speed rail funds flowing to states. Those awards include the Milwaukee-Madison extension here in Wisconsin.

Oberstar: Investment in infrastructure works

Rep. James Oberstar (D-Minn.), chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, had an op-ed piece in today’s Roll Call urging continued commitment to transportation projects.
